III. Aviation Airframe Technical, Certificate of Achievement

IV. Aviation Powerplant Technical, Certificate of Achievement

The Aviation Management/Airway Science program provides students the opportunity to develop first line management skills in the aviation industry. The courses offered in the associate in applied science degree are a mixture of general management and aviation regulations and procedures courses. (The program is not designed as an aviation mechanics or flight training program.) A unique aspect of this program is the internship that can provide students with no previous experience in aviation a means of developing aviation job skills by working for an aviation employer.

Employment in the aviation industry for first-line management personnel has increased dramatically in the last 10 years in central Illinois and throughout the Midwest.

The Airframe and Powerplant Aviation Mechanics program provides students with the opportunity to obtain the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and, at the same time, earn an Associate in Applied Science degree. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with the repair and maintenance of modern engines and airframes.

Lincoln Land Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association, 30 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, the Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics program is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration.
