Job Description

The Chief Inspector / Manager QC shall be responsible to the Director Quality for the management and execution of all Quality Control Inspections.

Responsibilities

1. Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods which would tend to improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance.
2. Compose and follow to completion all Service Difficulty Reports and Mechanical Interruption Summaries.
3. Ensure that inspections are properly performed on completed maintenance. Ensure all maintenance records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval for return to service.
4. Submit reports of defects of unairworthy condition in accordance with FAR 145.221installed in any component or articles released by the Repair Station.
5. Maintain files of completed work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.
6. Ensure that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in anycomponent or articles released by the Repair Station
7. Perform such other work as delegated by the Director Quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or equivalent in training, education and/or experience. A&P license required.
10 years commercial maintenance, 5 years maintenance management.
