Summary

The Chief Dispatcher has the responsibility for the daily scheduling of operations and the distribution of all training resources. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

Must be familiar with aircraft operations, current weather conditions, schedule and dispatch ability of the training resources, as well as basic flight operations. This position should be a licensed pilot, but not required providing the Head of Training or Chief Flight Instructor is present during the dispatch and oversight of training phase of operations.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences:

• 5+ years experience in Aircraft Dispatcher capacity.
• Recent small aircraft experience.
• Proven ability to manage a team of people in a fast paced environment.
• Computer fluency to include at a minimum: Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer
• Proven ability to be flexible and to think ‘outside of the box’.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Must possess outstanding management and leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. (with references).

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• A Pilot Certificate from an ICAO member country
• Verifiable past references for past 5 years.
• No previous violations, revocations or enforcement actions by an airworthiness authority
• No legal convictions.
• No drug or alcohol violations or convictions.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Responsible for dispatching all resources of the SAFA training operations,
• Daily operations schedules,
• Interfaces with the following on a daily/hourly basis as required:
o Director of Operations
o Head of Training
o Director of Maintenance
o Chief Flight Instructor
• Responsible for the accurate recording and tracking of the “ETA” computer program for tracking and recording of flight training records and associated data.
