Summary
Avionics Chief Inspector
Aviation company located in Ft. Lauderdale currently has a 90 days to permanent position with an Avionics Chief Inspector with corporate aircraft experience.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assuring that all aspects of the FAA Repair Station are maintained in accordance with FAA regulations.
2. Serving as an FAA liaison.
3. Inspecting aircraft for airworthiness.
4. Assisting customers with understanding issues that may affect airworthiness.
5. Signing-off logbooks after work has been completed and assisting avionics technicians with airworthiness problem.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 10 years experience working with corporate aircraft as an Avionics Technician.
-Must have extensive experience in avionics installation, integration and troubleshooting in corporate aircraft.
-Experience in proofing wiring diagrams, writing engineering orders and installation instructions.
-Familiar with regulatory requirements and completion of requisite documentation.
-Familiar with the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
-Manufacturer training from Honeywell, Collins, Universal, Garmin, L-3 Communications and Avidyne a plus.
-Communicate in an effective manner in person, telephone and two-way radio.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks.
-Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills utilizing sound judgment and a “can-do” attitude.
-Airframe license is a plus.
This is a 90 days probationary period to permanent.
Hourly pay will be: $33.65-$36.05/hr
