Description:
Electrical Project Chief Engineer

- Provide technical expertise and project leadership for the development of airborne and ground-based systems to support all variations of the Army's fixed wing fleet aircraft modifications, sensor systems and installations. - Define detailed project scope, take ownership and coordinate all project activities and reporting of cost, schedule and technical performance. - Be capable of designing power distribution systems, developing electrical loads analysis, wiring diagrams and harness fab drawings. - Utilize experience with cockpit avionics upgrades, navigation and communications systems and integration to meet FAA flight safety standards. - Provide leadership for successful aircraft airworthiness reviews, system safety assessments, risk assessments, system and subsystem integration, verification and validation throughout the system life cycle. - Perform requirements analysis and allocation, system architecture development, detail trade studies and interface definition to translate customer requirements into specifications. - Be required to have regular customer communications and interface. - Set highest ethical standards for self and others - Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications: - MS in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience - BS in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and 9 years of relevant experience - Knowledge of and experience with FAA and DOD aircraft airworthiness requirements, regulations and certification practices - Must have good communications skills - AutoCad and Microsoft office proficiency is desired - Commitment to continuous improvement of Engineering methods - Ability to obtain a DOD Secret-level security clearance - Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required. - Must be able to travel up to 25% as required. - Program Management experience is preferred
