Avionics/Electrical Technician - Lake City

AVIONICS/ELECTRICAL MOD INSTALLERS
Reliance Aerotech Services is seeking experienced Avionics/Electrical Systems Installers for a position in Lake City, Florida. Airbus experience would be preferred, heavy commercial experience is required. This position is scheduled to start on February 3rd, 2011.
All candidates MUST be able to provide documentation to verify their experience and training.  This can be a training record from past employers, OJT sheets, formal training, GenFam course, etc.
Description:

This position will be responsible for performing GPS modifications and installations on A319/320  aircraft in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the FAA and our customer. This is a short term project scheduled to run from February to May.
Qualifications:

The successful applicant MUST have at least 3 to 5 years of avionics systems installations, modifications and upgrades. Experience on Airbus aircraft is preferred.
The ability to read and interpret various wiring diagrams and fabricate wire bundles, mark wires, secure wires into bundles, and termination of wires is required.
Experience installing GPS Nav Systems and/or various antenna installs are preferred.

FAA A&P certification, FCC certification or Electrical Degree will be a plus. Inspection Authorization or any factory schooling is also highly desirable.
Duties / Responsibilities:

The Avionics Installation Technician must:

* Have a strong understanding of interfacing, troubleshooting, and the installation of the latest avionics equipment.
* Install, modify and upgrade all avionics systems in an efficient and safe manner as directed.
* Must be able to perform assigned task with minimal supervision.
* Quality of work must meet or exceed requirements as outlined in the customers‘Company Inspections Procedures Manual.
* Have the ability to find the needed information in various publications to establish standards and verify repairs, modifications and installations of avionics systems.
* Assist with general aircraft inspections as needed.
* Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Have the ability to read, write and understand the English language.
* Have excellent verbal communication skills.
* Be able to effectively present information to supervisor and shift lead.
* Provide own tools.
* Be able and willing to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
* Possess good Team building skills.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
