Saudi Red Cresent Authority (SRCA)
Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) is the exclusive provider of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has its headquarters in Riyadh and operates across the Kingdom through its regional offices and ambulances centers. SRCA provides urgent emergency medical services in pre-hospital stage for different accidents', disasters' and catastrophes' casualties by providing the services required for victims. Further, SRCA provides emergency medical services to pilgrims of the Holy Mosque and spreads health awareness during Hajj seasons, in collaboration and coordination with various governmental bodies.
SRCA provides its domestic services through more than 275 fixed emergency centers and 300 operating ambulances, in addition to a number of temporary centers operated during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. SRCA also provides Helicopter EMS (HEMS) coverage and (with its current technical partner) currently operates six helicopters across five bases in the Kingdom to address critical and remote emergencies on major highways and urban areas. SRCA HEMS aircraft focus on scene response and do not currently perform inter-facility transfers.
SRCA has experienced significant success in the provision of HEMS services and has just completed a very successful Hajj program where it flew over 40 missions over the days of Hajj. The leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and of SRCA would now like to take their HEMS program to the next level. SRCA has developed a growth plan that will see the size of the organization increase significantly while adding substantial capability in all dimensions of EMS operations.
SRCA has partnered with an experienced international service providers to help accelerate and improve the quality of this transformation effort and now aims to hire a project manager to help administer and coordinate the efforts of both SRCA and the contracted operator.
