AAR Composites Structures Repair Station (SRS) is a FAA certified (FAR Part 145) repair station specializing in the repair and overhaul of structures, composites and bonded aluminum honeycomb assemblies. We are fully certified to support most commercial airframes as well as several military types including the EC-135/KC-135 and F-15. With over 75 years of combined experience in the repair and overhaul of aerospace structures, AAR SRS is uniquely positioned to offer our customers timely and competitively priced repair/overhaul maintenance with the utmost attention to quality and safety.
AAR SRS maintains a Boeing data license agreement and as part of a multi-national aerospace support group, AAR SRS has the ability to draw on engineering, data and materiel resources unavailable to our competitors. AAR SRS experience is extensive and includes:
* Fabrication and certification of OV-10 wing flap vanes
* Aft flap overhauls on B767 type aircraft
* Spoiler overhauls
* Fan cowl repair and overhaul (B757, MD80, etc)
* Landing gear doors
* F-15 structures and flight controls
* JSTARS EC-135 (B707) structure repairs
AAR SRS has approval to repair and overhaul ANY structural or composite assembly on rated aircraft.
With the combination of a Boeing data agreement and extensive in-house engineering capabilities, AAR SRS can provide for repair dispositions and approvals via FAA DER on repairs and specifications beyond OEM limitations. This preserves customer schedules and creates a single point of contact for all repair and overhaul requirements freeing the customer from having to source multiple support entities.
Our experience and reputation with the FAA has provided us with complete support authority for ANY structural, composite or bonded aluminum honeycomb assembly from a rated aircraft.

AAR Composites has directed and successfully managed composite aircraft structures programs for over 20 years. Our programs involve the design, analysis, and engineering substantiation for FAA certification, test and manufacture of aircraft primary and secondary structure.
Our programs range from development of new technologies applied to engine components, such as the GE 90 composite fan blade program and composite engine cascade development using RTM and compression molding techniques, to the full scale production of flap track fairings for the Airbus A319/320.

AAR Composites has a proven track record of designing, analyzing and certifying mission-critical composite structures for the commercial, aerospace and military (DOD) industries. We have worked with the worlds leading aerospace and defense companies in the design, manufacture and assembly of primary and secondary structures, hardware and systems integration.
We work closely with the FAA to design and certify composite components, and are audited biannually to FAA Aircraft Certification systems Evaluation Programs (ACSEP) assuring that our facility complies with the manufacturing standards required by the FAA. In addition, AAR Composites is audited to the Equivalent European standard CAA BCAR A8-4 (B2) Air Navigation Order, CAA # AI/9385/92.
AAR Composites has vast experience with an array of materials, processes, and advanced engineering tools. AARs modern 65,500-square-foot facility is equipped with state-of-the-art composite design, engineering, and production systems. We have the capability to produce large and small-scale parts using autoclave, press, compression molding, and resin transfer molding processes. Our combined experienced workforce exceeds over 120 highly skilled employees.
Our design and analysis group uses state of the art computer tools for closed form and finite element modeling. Our design-engineering group designs approximately 80% of the products manufactured by AAR Composites in house.
Customers such as Boeing, Gulfstream, Northrop Grumman, BAE, Walt Disney World and others rely on our ability to engineer high performance components to the loads, operating environment and interface requirements they provide. With an in house design engineering capability, product designs are developed keeping in mind at all times the lowest cost processing technologies applicable to each component.
We have in house FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) and Designated Manufacturing Industrial Representatives (DMIR). These capabilities allow us to design and obtain STC for designs as well as to perform in-house testing of material to create FAA approved material design data.
